In a comfortable old house, we indeed had a loch view, looking out over a pasture of grazing highland cattle. The bedroom was charming. The town was within walking distance, which means the hotel is away from town but not so far away that one couldn't visit. The food at the hotel was excellent, and the staff, gracious and helpful.

The Internet was down the entire time we were there. The hotel is not right on the lake (although the view of the lake is real enough.) The bathroom, particularly the shower capsule, was miniscule.

    • Older travelers

The view from the hotel room fabulous it's location location location! But the hotel itself a bit tired.

Decor needs to be updated and the hotel need to be upgraded but you can,t fault the location. Gardens could be fantastic with a little bit of tender loving care.

    • Group of friends

The hotel is very comfortable and very friendly employees. It is clean and cozy. The hotel food is delicious!

Although the bathroom is very small and somewhat uncomfortable, it is very clean.

Great view of loch ness. Amazing food in the restaurant for dinner. Staff always friendly and trying to help.

Hotel has seen its best days, some parts a bit old and run down. Has charm but could do with a make over.

    • Older travelers

The owner was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome and helped us relax immediately. Meal times, including breakfast were extremely flexible and the quality of food was above average (you need to try the home made ice cream!). Our room, which was the main room, was large and spacious with some nice views out across the bottom of Loch Ness. The hotel was situated back from the busy A82 and was thus quiet during the night and helped contribute towards an undisturbed nights sleep

A minor critisicm would be the lack of basic items in the bar where only one beer was available on draught and no soda water. However I am appreciative that this is in the middle of the quiet season and the adverse weather conditions experienced recently contributed to even lower numbers of guests than normal. This means that stock levels of things such as beers which have a limited shelf life may be ineveitably be lower in such a remote location. The hotel however did have a good range of bottled ales which more than made up for the lack of draught beers!

it was very quaint and had an old world feel that was fantastic loved it

    • Older travelers

      The food was very good

The hotel was shabby and the bedroom considering it was the bridal suite was out dated, bare and the furniture was old ( but not antique) in poor condition

    • Couple

Everything was nice, and the outlook was just splendid.Taking everything under an account,it is a nice place, with nice staff, and great food.

    • Couple

Staff were superb, food was outstanding. Hotel was comfortable and relaxing in an excellent setting overlooking the loch.

The location was excellent being within easy reach of all the places I wanted to visit. The views from my room were breathtaking.I Enjoyed the fact that dogs are welcome which meant I met some lovely dogs and enjoyed the genial company of other dog-lovers.My bed was very comfortable and it was nice and quiet at night.

I think I had expected more luxury and /or cosiness because of the reviews I had read and the price of the rooms. My bathroom, for example was a bit dated. I realise how difficult it must be to clean the windows but by the end of the week it was difficult to see out of mine. The meals, though excellent, were too expensive for my budget. I had hoped hotel guests would be offered a reduction. Again because of the reviews I had expected a greater degree of warm Scottish hospitality, but I do accept that this would be more important to a sole traveller like myself.

    • Couple

The hotel had a real family feel about it, we were made to feel welcome and the staff went out of their way to tend to all our needs. The view from our room was spectacular, we were surrounded by breathtaking scenery of Loch Ness. The food in the restaurant was lovely but little variety if you are a fussy eater. We spent 2 weeks travelling around Scotland and The Inch Hotel was by far the best hotel we stayed in.

    • Group of friends

The Loch Ness view is good and the room design is cozy. We love our stay here and the staff here is very helpful esp Alina Petra. She helps us a lot while we had late check in and serves diligently. Really makes us feel like home.

The lamb liver is overcooked a lot when we stayed for dinner at the hotel.

    • Older travelers

The hotel was quaint and very cosy. Our room was spacious with lovely views over Loch Ness. The staff were friendly, the service was excellent and the food was delicious.

The hotel decor was rather tired and in need of some refurbishment, but otherwise everything was lovely.

Good location for what I needed. the hotel its self is rather dated and the entrance sort of put me off abit, however it grows on you... the rooms were clean, large and you could even open the windows... perfect views of the loch and mountains, bathroom was new. I only met 1 member of staff who was helpful and chatty. I did not dine in the hotel in the evening however I did have breakfast... the breakfast menu was fantastic...
